| 30th March 2007 - Raeburn Hut, Laggan Despite the fantastic weather this turned out not to be the best attended meet ever. Indeed, Ken spent the Friday night all alone in the hut. Makes a change from the normal drunken goings on, but not a change for the better. He decided on a bike ride for the Saturday, and set off to the head of Loch Laggan, then cross country past Loch Pattack, along the track beside Loch Ericht to Dalwhinnie and finally back to the hut. The track got pretty boggy close to Loch Pattack, but apart from that it was a great day out. The hills still have plenty snow on them, great views. Thankfully, before the isolation got too bad, Dave & Lucy turned up at the hut, closely followed by Lorna & Jacqui. Guitar playing & general banter whiled away Saturday night. On Sunday, the weather was still good. Lorna & Jacqui headed off to climb Ben Vrackie, at least someone's doing some mountaineering ! Dave, Lucy & Ken headed to the Wolftrax, for some mild downhill entertainment. Unfortunately the place was mobbed, it was the first round of the Scottish XC Series. They decided against mixing it with the racers & had a more moderate day biking around Rothiemurcus. The beach at Loch Laggan, with Creag Meagaidh beyond Lucy & Dave have a navigational disagreement in Rothiemurcus forest
