Equipment

Following a substantial grant from the National Lottery the club has a large amount of new, quality equipment, including technical ice-axes and crampons. Members wishing to get a taste for more advanced mountaineering techniques can kit themselves out for most of our activities, including rock and ice-climbing, and benefit from the wealth of experience of other club members. On the other hand the gear-monsters among you might like to just carry some of it around all day just for the hell of it. We also have maps, guide books and emergency-shelters.
