A well-attended meet saw 13 members travel to Skye for a weekend of mixed activities.
On Friday night a small group met at Sligachan and stayed up watching the sun go down behind Sgurr nan Gillean on a beautiful midge free night. Mary had snuck out in the glorious sunshine that day to get a cracking view from Glas-Bheinn Mhor.
Plans were made for an assault on the Inn Pinn for the next day but hopes were low given the various forecasts all predicting something between risk of storms and lightning to nothing more than a good west coast soaking.
Thankfully it turned out to be completely wrong and Joady, Sorley, Mary, Alex and Cat ended up having an atmospheric but perfect day on Collie’s Ledge, Sgurr Mhic Choinnich and the Inn Pinn. Major kudos to Sorley who aced it all at 13years old!
Derek was out for a hill run on Saturday but most of the group met at Glenbrittle in the evening for great catch up whilst Terry kept everyone entertained with the guitar. Cat joined in with her fiddle for a while before Hannah took over the guitar with a more chilled set.
On Sunday, the rain forecast for Saturday arrived. Dave, Hannah and Caitlin got a real soaking at the Old Man of Stoer whilst Joady convinced Sorley mountain-biking would be fun. The rest of us opted for the dried option of pub lunches.
Attendees: Joady, Sorley, Mary, Cat, Alex, Rab, Dave, Hannah, Derek, Keith, Caitlin, Terry, Morag
