Everyone is welcome!
Informal and friendly – the Braes o’ Fife Mountaineering Club has been welcoming mountain-goers since its founding in 1973 by Hamish Brown and Co.
Although originally a mountaineering club, members undertake various activities, ranging from hill walking, rock climbing, mountain biking, skiing/snowboarding, hill running, sea kayaking, and sailing to playing the guitar and mandolin!
Club Weekend Meets
The club’s main activities centre on our monthly weekend meets, mostly to club huts.
Most members arrive at the meet on Friday evening, spend Saturday and Sunday on their activities, and return home on Sunday evening. If you are interested in attending a meet and organising transport, come along to one of our Monday Pub Meets before the weekend, or contact our Meets Secretary.
Social Activites
Throughout the year, we organise other distractions, such as slide presentations, visiting climbing walls, evening rock-climbing sessions, skills courses, or mountain trivia quizzes. The best way to find out what is happening is to join our Facebook Group, where members also share photos, videos and general chat!
